Figurative

On setting out as a professional sculptor in 1997 I naturally set myself goals but also some limits which I thought prudent. For example, not to undertake portraits as for some reason these daunted me. This red rag attracted my first commission; to sculpt a full sized sprinting Afghan hound! It proved more stressful to create than I had imagined, yet I was, and still am, pleased with the result. I now relish the prospect of opening a bag of clay and am a lot less daunted! See my latest clay, the Hearth Dragon.
